Your iTunes Top Ten: March 8, 2010

While everybody was watching the Oscar’s, I was analyzing music. You’re welcome.

  1. Break Your Heart (feat. Ludacris) – Taio Cruz: Taio Cruz is the first artist to be named after a smartphone. Congrats.
  2. Rude Boy- Rhianna: Her voice sounds thin to me. Maybe it’s a production thing, but on Umbrella, it just sounded bigger and fuller.
  3. Hey, Soul Sister- Train: I just noticed it’s “Hey” comma “Soul Sister.” As in “hey, soul sister, you want to see the circus?” instead of “hey soul sister your house is on fire!” Song still sucks.
  4. Imma Be- Blacked Eyed Peas: Even as a concept, this song is awful.
  5. Need You Now- Lady Antebellum: This song was written for people to sing and fail at American Idol auditions.
  6. Baby (feat. Ludadris)- Justin Bieber: Has Ludacris gone from Nate Dogg guest rapping on his songs to just Nate Dogg 2.0? Yes. He has.
  7. Blah Blah Blah (feat. 3OH!3)- Ke$ha: Fox News is talkin’ that blah blah blah! Take that!
  8. Carry Out (feat. Justin Timberlake)- Timbaland: Surprising return to the top 10 for this oddly unremarkable track.
  9. In My Head- Jason Derulo: Holy god. I just noticed there’s an umlaut in DerĂ¼lo. That changes everything. Germans, celebrate!
  10. TiK ToK- Ke$ha: There’s been a ton of youtube parodies for this song. I have seen none of them.
