Part of the fun of making your own beer is being in control. You boil the stuff, you sanitize the whatever, you check the specific gravity…on and on and on.  But talking to local brewers and some people online, the personalization stopped once the beer was bottled- not a lot of people out there were having fun making labels. Boo, I say! The beer you brew is yours, and that shouldn’t just be the stuff inside the bottle.  I decided to create a fun label for my first batch of suds.

My first beer is an English Brown Ale, much like Newcastle Brown Ale. Using that as an inspiration, I designed the following:

I didn’t stray too far away from the original design of the label, but I really made an effort to follow the beer recipe too. So it’s fitting.
